Artem Markelov is from Russian and he has been doing everything he can to make motor racing more popular in his country. It is not an easy task, but he is doing quite well so far. After many years of starts in Russian carting, he moved off to the western Europe, when he finally fasted some real racing. After achieving great successes in Formula ADAC and Formula 3, he graduated to GP2 series, where he has been representing for two years a team from his home soil - Russian Time.
