During the F1 winter break, there is often a lot of behind the scenes changes that are often overlooked by the public. For Felipe Massa, there were a few more than one could expect.
The Brazilian was supposed to leave the series after 2016 season and only after few months, it turned out that he will reverse his decision and re-join Williams for another year. Such operation is always tricky and may involve personnel changes. Because of that Massa will work with a new physiotherapist Alex Azevedo this year. During the last round of winter testing, he talked to Roksana Ćwik about his new role.
“To be working with Felipe is a privilege. He is an amazing person, very humble and focused on his task” – Azevedo told ŚwiatWyścigów.pl. “He is very smart and creates a positive energy. This role brings a lot to both my professional and personal life. I accepted the offer because I want to see him on the top”.
“We worked together before only once in Brazil, but now I will be traveling to the races and I think we will get along well. Working in an F1 paddock might get a little stressful sometimes but overall I don’t think I will have many issues with that”.
